I do not have a weird and twisted mind despite what you are thinking. I am writing a book that calls for a sad death scene. The guy goes into the alley and sees his girlfriend shot and dead in a alley. I haven't been around a lot of dead chicks, so how can i describe this scene?

Find a picture of a dead person on the ground (Google can help).
Look at it.
Observe your reaction to it.
Write down your reactions in your own words.
This way it will be how *you* describe a dead person on the ground and not not what someone else said it is.
His heart sped rapidly, but his thoughts slowed. He could not comprehend the horror staring at him through glassy, lifeless eyes.
She lay there, in a pool of her own blood. Hair strewn over her face, limbs twisted into lax angles.
(Name) was dead. Shot in the ______.
Hope this helps!
Probably just mainly taunt, stiff, pale, her pale skin highlighted by the pool of blood. The expression on her face; peaceful, like she’s asleep, or maybe a frozen scream or look of pleading/horror. Something like that. I usually make something unimportant strike out most to the main character. You usually don’t want to remember the actual scene, and instead remember something with little meaning. Maybe the way her hands are held, or something by her. A broken bottle maybe, with shards glittering in the pool of blood. Just describe it as something dramatic and horrific in the guy’s mind.
