I know Animal Control organizations do dead animal removal and disposal, and depending on whom a Cruelty Investigator is working for, they may come across dead animals. How often does this generally happen, and what are the procedures for removing these dead animals?

Wear gloves and throw the animals into a trash bag. They usually have pickup trucks or vans with plastic flooring in the back so the cars don’t get gross. You sometimes need to do paperwork and dispose of them properly in-case they had rabies or something. Many places cremate (burn) dead animals. It can happen fairly often, it depends when and where they are. In winter a lot of strays die from the cold in urban areas.
